If you take it out after a certain period of time without checking regularly & the mark is showing low oil your engine could be in serious trouble

Just looking at the number of threads of the spring/stick, looks like the single notch is lower than the top notch of the dipstick with two notches.

Somebody has the same dipstick with only one notch? Or somebody has time for take some measurement?

The dipsticks used relate to the length of the stick to reach into the sump when you take them out if the the oil is showing on the top notch or just below it means there is around 4 to 4,25 litres in the sump so top notch = 4,25 middle line = 2.50 bottom line = 1 litre & means you need to immediately top up the Oil !

First time that I change the oil, after empty all the old one, I will refill with exactly 4,25 liters and check where the level on the dipstick will be.

Same stick as mine…..and as said before they not the easiest to read for measurement, mine was roughly halfway so just topped up roughly half litre
Some engines are known to burn a little oil mine has used half a litre to 1000 miles I can live with that….probably worth keeping a litre bottle in the boot

Have the same dip-stick. The easiest way to look for the level is to raise it up against the sky. You'll easily see how much of the stick is lubricated.

If your level is only half way up then its plausible there is around 2.5-3 ltrs in the sump the max is 4.25 therefore keep an eye on the stick as running on low oil is a no no with these engines

Ok…..How much litres of oil is between the 2 markers on the stick?

I would hazard a guess & its around 3ltrs + but the level should only be checked with the engine completely cold as you could easily overfill & that is a no go with a HPT engine
