Strange cooling problem

1.6 rcz 2012 II run the car for one mile starts misfiring cooling fan comes on shows 90 on gauge radiator cold. I take the positive lead of for 30 seconds then reconnect, all runs fine hot rad temp 87 fine for rest of the day any ideas. Thanks peter

When its showing 90 on the gauge feel the bottom hose mine was stone cold also my air con was off

After 2 mls car misfired temp shows 9o degs top hose hot bottom hose cold engine light on

Removed battery lead and replaced it 2 miles later top and bottom hose hot temp 85 legs no missfire no engine light fine for the rest of the day. Peter

Your thermostat could still be the problem & the cooling system is Electronically controlled
