Has anyone managed to get a discount off the RCZ?

Just looking around the net I've seen the following savings of about £350 on www.autoebid.com. Anyone else?

I managed to get £500 off mine, but get the feeling they only agreed because i'm a good custy. A far cry from the £2500 I got off my 307CC!!

Personally I hope the discounts do stay low, less discount = better residuals (and the residuals for the RCZ are already predicted to be excellent).

How much did you pay for GAP if you don't mind me asking? Just wondered what the dealers were offering it for. I normally buy mine off the internet - its usually much, much cheaper.

Just had a quick search and for a replacment brand new vehicle it would cost £195 for 3 years cover.

This is just one site I looked at:

http://www.directgap.co.uk/

Its always more expensive from the dealers as they make commission on it.

Always keen to get a good deal, I phoned around the local Peugeot dealers and none of them offered any discount but they did very on the part exchange prices they offered me, so I used this as my barganing tool and was happy with the deal.
I haven't taken out GAP yet because the cars not due for delivery until Sept. I am thinking of getting GAP insurance with www.ala.co.uk, I think that it worked out at about £115 for 3 yrs cover, covering a £10,000 shortfall.

Never thought of playing one dealer off against the other. The trade in price they gave me for mine was crap. I'm thinking of trying to sell it privately near the time that I get the RCZ - nothing ventured, nothing gained.

That price for the GAP insurance is very good. The price I quoted was also for £10,000 shortfall - so just goes to show it pays to shop around.

Now that you mention it, the 'discount' the dealer gave me was represented by an increased trade-in for my old car. No complaints though as the trade-in was already generous.

Sounds like the dealer network has been given their marching orders - no discounts!

If there is no discount on the car like you've been shopping around with the GAP, you can shop around with the part ex.

I have heard some good feedback about www.webuyanycar.com and for the sake of a 10 minute online instant quote you might save a bit more or get the dealer to match it.

I've hard that webuyanycar give very very low prices for trade in - I mean seriously low.

My dealer has recently had advertised the same make and model car as my current one,(except mine has cruise control) same reg year albeit theirs has half the mileage of mine but they are asking £10999 for it. The dealer is giving me me £6500 trade in for mine. Now there is no way on earth that the difference in mileage, on a 3 year old car, is £4500 different. Mine is in absolute mint condition - it gets detailed to within an inch of its life - its been well pampered. I know they have their mark-up but that is ridiculous. Which is why I want to try and sell it myself but at a realistic price :!:

Peugeot order books seem to be full until September, and as soon as more RCZs start hitting the road the demand will only go up. I wouldn't count on significant discounts any time soon!

LOL too right mate. Question - did you get a full tank of fuel? Last Peugeot i bought new was handed over sitting on a quarter tank... wasn't very impressed but couldn't be bothered arguing with them at the time!
