So, just to confirm some others' findings here. After a few weeks of the battery being disconnected as not getting much use in the lockdown, once the battery was re-connected, the rear spoiler raised to fully open position B. and would not lower. Centre console spoiler button was unresponsive, with no light illuminated. No warning messages. Start engine and stop using ignition did not reset. This did require running the car up to activation speed, 55 mph and then the active spoiler was fine.
This is quite an odd feature to have when you reconnect the battery.
Of note, it is easy to access the rear spoiler motor underneath the black boot lid trim by releasing the 14 or so plastic clips and 2 Torx bolts hidden in the handle grips. You can wind the spoiler/motor by hand using the 4mm Allen key opening in the center of the motor, if "up to speed" run does not reset. There are also some other posts about checking/accessing the maxi fuse next before investigating if a new motor is required.
