You have to pay £100 when you register before you can bid on any vehicle and you have to pay this each year..

Unless you know what you're doing I wouldn't be going near a write off requiring repair. That car is a CAT N write off and I suspect the damage is more than what is instantly visible.

The last MOT flagged up all brake discs are worn and the car has a coolant leak. Those wheels have to be fixed as well. There is potentially big bills on top of the crash damage.

Go for it but be prepared for shocks as if its a Insurance right off it means big £ signs but providing it may be only cosmetic issues it may be plausible but if its chassis problems it will need to be a specialist repair job & that could turn nasty on a credit card?

I’ve had countless cat damaged cars over the years i currently have a 2009 Megane mk3 1.5dci cat s bought from a local auction paid roughly £1000 going back 3 years ago had only done 33,000 miles probably spent a long time in a car breakers…only used for work local steelworks and it’s been 100% reliable…

Guess I’ve been lucky….At the current price on the R I’m going to be glued to that but no doubt the price be going north within last couple of minutes of auction…
Any you guys know what delivery rates are 100 mile radius?

Could be a bargain, hard to see what the damage is apart from the bonnet and what looks like someone's gouged it out and a lot of filler. It's cat N so not structural.

What is visible isn't enough to make it CAT N. I'm sure once the ill-fitting bumper comes off there were be more damage to sort underneath.

The last CAT N car didn't go for much.

I recognise this particular car and it was posted previously here or on the FB group but I can't seem to find it. From what I can remember it needed a lot of work doing on it and I guess the owner decided it was not worth his while. Agree with the various comments that this one might hide more issues.

The previous Black R cat N which went for £3500 at Copart last year was a bargain as the damage was easily repaired which someone here did.

That car also had an MOT advisory to change the front discs. Given the profit margin the guy was making it was something I'd have expected him to do.

£13k for a write off isn't exactly cheap. I've not seen it in the classifieds after the advert here.

Could get my head around that black one, £3.5k for think it was a Cat S that just wanted a new front strut, a tyre and a little bodywork. Do insurance companies really write off cars requiring so little.

They do when they can’t quote for repairs because some parts just aren’t available. I’ve heard there’s no new front bumpers and I’ve heard the French have no rear windows 😱

Was trying to work out the front damage, my guess is it's been debadged and filled and blended in the recessed area and the front impact has blown it out. If I lived closer would love to have had a look. Can't see it fetching more than £4k, could be a lovely car with prob another £4-5k spent on bodywork, brakes, wheel refurb and tyres.

Cheers for the advice on membership Kerr, i've signed-up so i'll keep an eye out.

Those wheels are vile to be fair 😂 .... nothing a respray could sort i guess.

Noted on the risks of buying at auction too.

Looks like its right at the start of the list so assume this will go pretty dead on 12 today? Or is it a delayed start?

Looks like it is sold on provisional, awaiting sellers response at £2600. With fees about £3k, bargain if they get it for that.
