I have a Peugeot RCZ 1600 petrol and as soon as I turn the ignition on the fan starts up and stays on for the whole journey.
This has flattened the battery on 5 occasions. How do I stop this from happening?

Faulty temp sensors can create this fault amongst others.

Yes and it's a cheap fix if you do it yourself as it's somewhere under the air box about £40 for the part hope this helps..

I replaced the temp sensor which cured this problem....for a few months. For now I've removed the fuse that controls the fan. The AC doesn't work (can live without that) but the temp gauge doesn't exceed it's normal reading. A warning comes up everytime I start the car but it's better than a flat battery, which I've suffered from due to the fan problem. Apparently, according to my local garage, Peugeots are notorious for electrical problems. So I'm wondering if it actually is the temp sensor or, as I suspect, something else.

Hi there now I think you will need to do a BSI reset there is a way to carry it out on here DKZ5745 has posted it several times and it's been a success for those who have done it. So please look for his post.
