Car had a flat battery this morning then after jumped it and checked the fault code it came up with p1164.
It won't clear and then driving it's flashed up engine repair needed.

Make sure that the battery is in good condition. tons of codes can come up due to bad or weak battery.
If the car drives fine even with the fault msg it will prolly go away after 3-4 drives.

I recently had the battery replaced on my car, it didn't show any previous fault codes, just that one morning it stopped starting.

Today I checked if there were any fault codes stored and there were none.

I'm surprised that it didn't detect earlier that the battery was about to die.
