P0012 Error Code

Hi - I've just got error code P0012 come up again!

Intake Camshaft Position Timing Over Retarded Bank 1.

There are 2 sensors that people have suggested changing - one at front and one at rear of engine.

Does anyone know if Bank 1 would be front or back?

Just letting people know that I researched the code online and bought a sensor for £25. This has now been fitted and my car is running better than ever! Not a warning light in sight!

Whats more worrying is that the car has been to 5 garages including a Peugeot main dealer twice and a Peugeot independent specialist and none of them managed to spot that it was a sensor. The last place wanted £1200 plus £250 diagnosis.

Not bad for someone that doesn't know the first thing about mechanics.
