It's a known fact that the THP engine uses a bit of oil and needs checking each week if it runs low can effect the timing chain and not good for any engine, so keep checking and enjoy your RCZ

It’s true, if you leave it until the low oil warning comes on, it’s possibly already too late.

there was/is a thread about oil types for the Z. A search should reveal all 👀

Peugeot now recommend Total ineo first. 0w 30 it’s what they used in the engine when new.

In 8000 miles the RCZ R hasn't used a drop.

We've also got a Mini Clubman S and it barely uses any oil either. It's a 62 plate with 74k on the clock now.

The previous Clubman S didn't use any at all either.

We have clearly been lucky.

My launch edition uses a little oil but the wife’s Mini Cooper S drinks the stuff!

I have to top mine up regularly. Probably uses more oil than any car I’ve had before.
