Hi Al.

I've got an absolutely mint black December 2015 GT Line I'm thinking of selling. 63k full mot with zero advisories. Bi xenons, twin exhausts all the nice stuff. Fantastic history including timing chain at 43k complete new top end owing to vvt shaft issue at 54k all at the main agent, over £4500. Not quite the "R" you're after but lots of fun and pretty rare. Interested..?

Regards, Jon.
Very nice, is it a 200 with leather interior? That was my original plan which I may revert to.

Yes, 200 with a leather and alcantara interior. I'll post some pics of the inside tomorrow or Saturday

If you're selling, post in the for sale section then link it here. It keeps things in the correct section and the forum tidy (y)

The grey car with all the options and Peugeot warranty has been reduced again. They are now asking £12,500.

Well it certainly seems they need to move it on, curious why it has to be a quick sale if it’s a company car that’s coming.

Maybe it will finish up at 10k at this rate, or just maybe a lot of us are wrong with reference to R values and before we know it all our cars will be worth less than 10k because no one wants them anymore.

Well that's what the average price was in lock down 10-12k
And if you watch any of the latest car shows that are on the TV only this week it was said that all second hand cars on the market had fallen by 20% even classic cars

I hope the values do continue to drop of used ICE cars (not interested in battery) as I have a few more want to own's and prices have been absolutely ludicrous.

I've hit an unexpected hurdle with insurance, my problem is I have another car in my garage at the moment so Adrian Flux want £1,700 for an R left on the road! I know it's high performance but that's over triple the price of a 220 BHP TT of the same value!

Wow, Adrian flux though really? I have found them to be ludicrously expensive when I have requested a quote over the years for cars.

The two grey ones that were at the dealers have gone. The private sale looked better than the trader at the same price and mileage, and the other car looked ok. It has about 65,000 miles, didn't have the same history or options.

What are you using as reference for the valuations?

Have you ever used one of the reputable valuation guides for a valuation?

That's unreasonably expensive. Mine jumped up this year like everyone else, but it was around £300. Often a car kept in a garage is more expensive to insure than on the road.

I'm not a fan of Adrian Flux after my previous dealings. I wouldn't be asking them for a quote unless it was a modified car hard to insure elsewhere.

Would not go anywhere Adrian Flux, he's a daylight robber and charges in Policy are a joke too; just a money grab racket. Do a comparison site and go for a decent policy/price of your choice. They like to play games..... on proof of NCB etc and create hurdles so they can then shaft you with an increased premium/penalty charges etc

Kerr I was being sarcastic sorry, I have never took any notice of so called guides, I just watch the market, also I have never had a problem selling a car for it’s worth, this is because I have always been an enthusiast and kept everything spot on.

I have never been in a rush to sell a car, hence I can wait and have all the time in the world.

We don’t do finance on cars so I think that helps when we sell.

Just checked on a comparison site and the quote was nearly the same as the tt, strange as I always check on a comparison site at renewal and have never beaten the Flux price, they must have some problem with the RCZ!

Why wouldn't you take notice of valuation guides? That's what the car industry is based on. These guides are compiled by industry experts.

If you ignore these guides you're left with a car that needs all the time in the world to sell. You can't trade it in, you can't sell it any of the car buying services. If write the car off the insurance settlement is based on the valuation guides.

Ignoring the guides puts owners in unexpected situations. There has been a few owners on here that have been caught out thinking the value of the R was only going one way. They have struggled to recoup anywhere near what they paid.

Is spoticar warranty a full Peugeot warranty, like a guarantee against any faults?

Spoticar is the name of Peugeot approved cars and warranty.

It is an odd name to use when it causes confusion. They should just call it Peugeot approved warranty.

I've not sure of the terms and conditions, but it won't be a full guarantee against all faults. Some things will be excluded including wear and tear. It should still cover all the main and critical things.
