New purchase issues

Hi,

I recently purchased an RCZ Asphalt and I have a few issues with it which I'm hoping someone who knows about what is under the bonnet can help with.

1 of the pictures shows a cable tie around something that is connected to the right of the engine block. What is this part and any idea why it would be cable tied?

I have a chugging issue at 3.5k+ revs and noticed that the pipe connecting to the turbo wasn't on properly, picture attached, is this guaranteed to be the chugging issue? I would test it by driving but at the moment it has no oil as the sump plug came out for some reason and emptied all over my driveway.

The Turbo pipe is taken off for access when doing oil changes that's why its hanging off & looks like some idiot made a right hash of it with the sump plug dropping out as for the cable tie it may be holding the Electrical socket connector into the plug ?

Hi,

Thanks for the info, very helpful. I have included a couple more images of that cable-tie in case it helps but is very difficult to get a good angle with so much in the way. If you are able to tell would this be considered a bodge or is it something normal that mechanics do?

Can not believe all that oil on your driveway I think the idiot who did the service on your car must have been in one hell of a hurry to get off work 😩 not fitting the sump plug in tight enough or not to connect the hose etc... I would be sending them a bill for the cleaning costs of your driveway etc.. Hope you get sorted out ASAP so that you can enjoy your RCZ as you should..
Drive safe and stay lucky 🍀

Found out what the thing cabled tied is. The High Pressure Fuel Pump. It may be related to what I'm now experiencing.

Is the cable tie a cable tie or is it a connector with a ribbed "plug" base that would be pushed in to something else. To keep the part tethered.
Like maybe the nearby intake pipe? From a couple of the pictures it looks like that.

I had a 200 but that was over 2 years ago, so I can't remember 100%.

As for the oil, if it happened when it wasn't running on your driveway you are very lucky.
If that had happened while driving you would have had a very dead car.

I can't see anything amiss on the photos all the plugs look OK if they were not you would have a EML on the dash?
