Hi all recently bought an RCZ and have to say being a long time BMW driver I wasn't sure I would like it, but LOVE the way it drives and feels. And it looks stunning.
I do have one issue that is driving me crazy and I'm hoping someone can offer advice.
The clock in the centre of the dashboard won't sync with the sat Nav clock. I've tried everything. I've taking it to my local dealer who ran a diagnostic and said everything was fine.
I took it to an auto electrician specialist who said he can't find an issue either. But again ran a diagnostic and reported everything fine.
The clock works but just won't tell the right time. (On a side note both my day running bulbs have blown withing 2 weeks of replacement)
Help me forum you're my only hope 🙄
Thanks for reading

Which head unit do you have. Is it the RT6, NG4, etc ?

Thank you. I tried that. And the auto electrician tried resetting everything. Apparently the clock went to 12 but would sync with the sat Nav once he reset that

One I test drove this morning had the analogue clock about 12 minutes fast. I presume that, for cars without sat nav, it's easier to reset?

The dealership ran new software onto it to try from the problem.
I would just get a new clock but they want £500

FFS £500 for a clock! Try the breakers although I would be suspicious its a software problem or even a battery BSI related issue

If you want to try a BSI reset,

Here is the BSI reset procedure:-

BSI reset....

Put the drivers window down, lift the bonnet & ensure all equipment is switched off.
Ensure all doors are closed and remove key from ignition,
Wait 3 minutes, disconnect vehicle battery & wait 15 seconds.
Reconnect battery, wait further 10 seconds (do not open doors)
Switch on the side lights through the drivers window.
Switch on the ignition & check systems functionality.
Hold lock button on key down for 10 seconds.
Remove key open & close door, test central locking system.
Start the engine & complete the system check.
Failure to follow this procedure could result in incorrect operation of many BSI related items.

Let us know if this helps.
