Hi , obviously new but was after some advice .
Looking to buy a rcz and quite fancied the THP 200 , is this the best model to go for?
If so how do you tell a 200 from a 156 as many people dont list it?
Is is just a remap as they are both 1.6 engines?
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks Mick

Limited funds, but it does look nice 😉

get the thp 200, not only more power but different gear ratios and suspension set up. not that i've driven the 156 though.

Mine is stage 1 mapped and is pretty quick now

One visible difference between 200 and 156 is the engine.

This is THP200:

And this is THP156:

So as you can see it is not just a remap. Some components are different.

Another visual clue could be steering wheel. THP200 comes with a smaller wheel which has less chrome details:

And this is THP156 with (bigger and more chrome):

Although if i am not mistaken, THP200 steering wheel could be found in THP156 as well (this was an option). Also, THP200 comes with 18 inch wheels whereas THP156 usually comes with 17 inch wheels.

If you want more sporty car, get the THP200 model. It has bigger brakes and also "sound system" which makes engine noise louder in the cabin.

I have my THP200 remapped to 230HP and it feels pretty good :)

How do I know one if it isn’t listed as either 156 or 200?

156 models don't have 17" wheels though, they're 18's...

You can not tell the difference from the outside only under the bonnet but the RCZ R has a fixed fin and the exhaust is at both sides of car.. Some other RCZs have the same or similar exhaust but this was an extra.. Happy hunting..

I used to check the front brake discs in pics, smaller is the 156 bigger 200 but HDI same as 200 so just filter petrol only 👌

Whoops, i meant 19 inch vs 18 inch 🙂 Most THP200 i have seen had 19 inch wheels (at least for summer tyres) and most THP156 had 18 inch wheels.

Hi Mick and welcome to the forum, it’s more than just a remap, the 200 model has essentially a second generation engine slightly modified, doesn’t have the PCV which the 156 has and has not just variable valve timing but variable valve lift.
Just to clear up on a few earlier posts the 156 sport has 18” wheels as standard and also the bigger discs and usually come with cloth seats unless upgraded to leather the 156 GT has 19” wheels and the smaller discs the 200 comes with the bigger discs 19” wheels and uprated suspension.
