Had my lovely rcz r side swiped on a roundabout last Friday by a 7.5 ton truck an had to get the police involved after he done a runner ! Well the car is off to the repair shop tomorrow , axa insurance don’t hang around .

Yes the police traced him I got his reg an by the time they found him he had reported it , goes in at 10 am tomorrow hope to have it back by Friday .
To say I was pissed off was a under statement !
I will post a pic when I get it back

Now that is awful where did he not stop as you said by the time the police had catch up with the driver he had reported it so he knew that he had been involved in the accident. I thought it was against the law to leave the scene of an accident....

Every one is ok thankfully ! apparently so long as u report it with in 24 hrs your ok I followed him long enough to get his number an try an get him to stop but he wasn’t having it so pulled over an called the police an left it with them , I was only going to get some shopping , it was the first time I had been out in 4 days . # trying to keep safe on lock down

I've got a feeling that repair is going to end up rather expensive.

Have they indicated the cost to repair and if they are going to do so?

With this lockdown the parts might not be available to fix for some time.

So long as it’s less than 50% of market value it will get done as for the parts we all know that’s another story even at the best of times Almost everything. I have ordered was on back order so it’s just a waiting game .

Luckily no injuries thank God & basically its Panel/Paint damage wheels look OK because if those had got chewed & warped it may have ended up a write off as they did with a mate of mine when some idiot wanted to remodel his motor 2 rear quarter panels plus 2 buckled wheels & rear hatch & bumper damaged & it was almost goodbye to a decent motor until he sourced the parts for the garage & got it back on the road after the Insurers backed down !
