Hello,

I have inherited a red metallic 2010 THP 160 from my father, its a well maintained car according to the service book, but my main concern is that the car has 145.000km on the clock.

I already drove it a few times when my father was still alive and i could not feel or see anything wrong with it. Now that i got it i would like to take it for some trips, but when you google for problems with the thp engine you find tons of result about what could go wrong :D

I already bought a replacement for the plastic wastegate as it was listed as one of the main problems with the engine, but should i also look for other things?

Thanks

It is recommended to replace the timing chain every 80k km (according to my independent Peugeot specialist). Check the service book when (if) it was replaced. My RCZ is at 115k km and I'm starting to get P0012 Camshaft position timing over retarded. Peugeot dealership suspects it is a timing chain issue and I'm already booked for replacement (the estimated cost is around 1000 Eur).
