HDI Temp Issue

Morning all,

Maybe something or nothing, but I've noticed the temp gauge drops slightly from 90 to around 87-88 quite regularly in my 30 mile commute to work. Rock steady at 90 when travelling at a steady 75mph but then drops ever so slightly when the engine load drops, slowing etc. Not sure if the fan keeps cutting in and out unnecessarily, but I've never noticed the temp drop before. Coolant level is bang on, no level gauge on a HDI

Thanks for the reply, it'll be our first winter with it. I'd just never noticed the slight needle drop until the last couple of weeks.
