P0087 is common code also lumpy starting & a very noticeable lack of acceleration is evident Possibilities may include fuel pressure sensor low fuel rail pressure an issue with the low pressure fuel pump in the tank or as you stated the HP fuel pump failing which went on my 200 sport at 43.543 Klm if you need a pump contact Mike on Ebay he will refurb yours & its a quick turn around

When you turn the key without starting the engine, the pressure in the rail must rise to 5 bar and this pressure is provided by the fuel tank pump.

When the engine is started, the pressure must always remain above 50 bar, although it can fluctuate but not fall below 50. This pressure is provided by the high-pressure pump.
