Facelift Front Bumper Grilles Removal

Does anyone know if the front bumper grilles on a facelifted 2015 model are removable?

I am looking to get my front bumper resprayed and for best results I would like to remove the front bumper grilles rather than mask around them.

However, now that I have the bumper off the car it looks like the grilles are held on with a combination of tabs that can be unclipped and plastic welds directly to the bumper which would have to be broken apart in order to remove the grilles. However, it's difficult to see if this is actually the case without attempting to start breaking the plastic welds.

Just wondered if anyone knows or has any knowledge of the this?

Hello,

You can remove the front grille, the one up and down are the same piece, just the DRL support needs to be masked up, if you want to remove them you need to cut the original plastic soldering. I hope it helps..

When you say "if you want to remove them you need to cut the original plastic soldering." are you referring to the front grilles or the DRL support?

Are you saying the front grilles be removed without cutting any plastic soldering?

I was referring to the DRL support, the front grille doesn’t require desoldering

Excellent, I'll have a another closer look this evening to see if I can remove the grilles!
