Hi fellow rcz ers . I need some help please, 2 years ago a peugeot garage replaced my head gasket . On the way home the red electric charge/battery came on . They said it was nothing to do with work I prob needed new battery. Light didn’t come on again for a while then I had new battery - few months light on again battery was faulty and replaced- same thing 6 months ago so on 3rd battery and red light has been coming on a lot more recently several times a day. Was suggested by my local garage that it could be the computer that controls all electrics and needed electrician as it may need re setting. She was serviced last week and was running a bit lumpy when started. Called out Rac as no power like faulty spark plug symptoms. Rac said it appeared fuel injector sticking open - suggested a more local garage . Took it this morning got call saying replaced coils. Picked it up prob still there. Now they say they will replace the injector and couldn’t guarantee it would fix fault. Said after that take if still prob need to take it specialist peugeot garage . He th said it was poss that when head taken off some electric wire may have been damaged . Please can anyone help me .

Could be the battery protection module circuit board. Have a look in the electrical section of this forum for battery module change over.

Possible it may Battery module but I would perhaps get a voltage drop test to rule out anything to do with it being a mechanical issue the Computer they mention is the BSI which monitors/controls the cars electrical systems
The battery or module failures on these cars can cause no end of strange issues like "Stored Ghost" fault codes" appearing in the diag code readouts also EML coming on intermittently or a static "Stop" warning repeating itself when the cars started together with other gremlins
