It seems that some RCZ's have one and others do not.

I do not have one and I own a 2011 THP 200. I checked with my dealership and was told that my build did not include this. While there I looked at a 2012 Diesel and it had one.

I am not sure if they installed these depending on the engine type and/or size, or year of the vehicle.

Unfortunately the Poll doesn't allow me to have more that 10 options so I am limited on my choices. For now I have decided to eliminate the year. I will have to setup another poll to narrow down the results from this one if needed.

So please post your answer in the poll so we can see if there is any patterns as to which RCZ's come with them or not.

Thanks for your time.

Sorry, I might just be being thick but I thought these where fitted to cars to reduce noise and not heat :eusa-think:
My 2012 asphalt doesn't have one by the way

Valid point as it can be considered for use as a heat and/or noise shield. The fact that some RCZ's have them or not is strange. You have an Asphalt so that is a THP 200, and so far none of the 200's have one, yet 156 and Diesels do :eusa-think:

Yes it does seem very odd that some have and some don't, you'd think if it was there to reduce noise it would be in all diesels(as they tend to be a little more noisy than petrol ;) )
You'd also think if it was there to reduce heat that it would be fitted to the larger 200 model :eusa-think:

I'll try and get a photo but it's really easy to determine. When your bonnet is up, if you have a heat shield it will be a black piece of material attached to the underside of the bonnet. If you see only the underside of the metal bonnet, then you do not have one.

My 2011 built ('12 registered) 156BHP doesn't have one!! Although it looks like the holes are there in the underside of the bonnet to have had one fitted...hmmm....

That's probably because you're car is made in the future. Can you time travel? Does it hover? ;)

See...mine has the holes in the underside that that appears to be attached to. It gets curiouser and curiouser...
