Delayed garage inspection for knocks.

I heard a couple of soft knocks when turning right on full lock. I thought I would wait for next service 4 months away to mention it. There was a knock sometimes on gear changes so 2 weeks ago took my 2015-156 to dealership I have used since a cowboy garage pissed me about in the past. A technician sat in car with me for a minutes drive and said that CV joint was to blame. They replaced drive shaft and associated parts. The knocks on turning along with gear change knocks were indicating that this parts replacement work was needed. They also changed the gearbox oil.

Have you checked the coil springs, they seem to snap easily

If coil springs are associated with the fitting of drive shaft and associated gubbins then I am sure they checked that. They are thorough there and guarantee work for 12 months. The dealership lends me a decent car which is worth perhaps £60 per day if I had to hire one and I had the loaner for 11 days as they waited for parts.
