Cruise control problem

My cruise control will work for about 30 - 40 minutes at motorway cruising speed then the engine goes into limp mode. I stop, turn cruise control off, stop and restart the engine and the engine is out of limp mode. No codes come up, it has been suggested that there is a cable going from the engine to the nearside front wheel which reads the speed of the wheel and this is used to set the speed.
If this cable is the problem, does anyone have a schematic diagram of where this cable is and a part number? Car going in for MOT and service on Monday and would like to get this cable replaced and see if this solves the issue.
Thanks for any advice.

Thanks Pedro, having a new cable fitted when the car goes in for MOT and service next Monday, hopefully this will cure the problem, if not, I will have to rethink.

I am no further forward on the Cruise Control problem. Several garages including Peugeot and Mini specialists have had no success in finding out what causes the engine to go into limp mode after 10 minutes after being switched on, No error codes come up on OBD dfisplay or on my fairly basic diagnostic code eader and none show on sophisticated code readers I was told that replacing the ECU might help but there was no gurantee that this would solve the problem.
Is there a seperate speed control cable in addition to the ABS sensor cables or does one of these cables feed speed information to nthe Cruise Control Unit?

Failing brake switches are common in other Peugeot models so it's not beyond the realms of possiblity they do in RCZs.
In 407s, from memory they fail in the on position. So the brake lights are permanently illuminated.
Whether that's the case with them all I don't know.
