This weekend I was installing this 😳 (Ali ambient lights 🥳)

and removing the top panel this felt down 🤨

It is from when I bought the car that I was missing that spring, that was also the reason why every morning I could not activate the cruise control until I was not lifting with my foot the clutch pedal 😅. No idea how it is possible that the spring was where I found it o_O. But better like this, now I have the spring :)!

So, first problem is that is impossible to put it back. The spring is super hard to compress. I will use some t-raps to compress the spring.
WARNING! I almost lost my eye 👁️! Use protective goggles! I'm not joking!

Second, I have no idea how it should be, the 2 edges are different, one longer (right on the picture) than the other one.

Can somebody check and let me know where the plastic wheel should go on the spring (long or short edge)? On the first picture I marked where the spring should be, the wheel need to go on the top.

T-raps didn't help

So I made a "spring compressor special tool" :D

And now it is back in place :). But I'm not sure for how long it will stay there. On my RCZ it is not the same as the pictures posted by chrismac.
I don't see the wheel like the one I have (3rd picture on the first post). I could not find in all internet a picture where is visible how the spring should be .
In the end I chose for long fork on top with the wheel inside.

Yes! It looks like I did, long forks on the top. I was not sure because the small wheel can fit on both sides of the spring. First 80 km, 10 of them in the traffic jam (1st-2nd gear X 1000 times ) and the spring is still there :) .
