Is the battery dead or been disconnected?

It does sound like the battery. Could do with checking the charge level if you can. How old is it? They have been known to suddenly pack up and produce symptoms such as yours...

Hi , it’s a 2011 car don’t now the age of the battery tho , tried to have a look at the battery but seems well hidden and has a weird compartment of wires and fuses over the top of battery!

Almost 100% battery. Probably original, although if it was replaced after @ 5 years (recommended life span, but most last much longer) it would still be nearly 6 years old now, so even on its 2nd battery it might need replacing.
Most places that will sell you a battery will test your old one for you too.

Hi thanks all,
Had the car towed too the garage fault was starter motor, which the the mechanic did and said it was buried at the back of the engine which took some man hours 😫

So it was the starter motor and not the battery failing to turn the starter motor? Weird.

The battery-starter motor & alternator are all linked together thereby if one is failing it will affect the other 2 as the circuit will be or breaking down but let's not forget a faulty battery module in the diagnostics

Had this same problem last year. AA couldn't diagnose (didn't try actually). Battery was tested ok, turned out it was a faulty exhaust camshaft de-fazer solenoid, WeverTF that is! Anyway 80 well spent quid to my clever local back street specialists and back on the road in no time!

Blooming auto spell correct, it’s always changing “starter motor” to “battery” when I type it too 🤣

The battery module has come up quite a few times and creates a similar fault and they’re in excess of £400 I believe so I bought a spare from my local breakers 👍
