Hi guys, I just negotiated a deal on an RCZ. Part of the deal was some cash off to sort the nav (ng4 I think)
Everything seems to work, but if you press the NAV button in says "Nav or Maps loading".
But they don't actually load. I've updated firmware and maps on my other Peugeots before, could this sort the problem?
Or is it something else?

Thanks for any help.

This is the NG4 system

There are a few who have updated theirs, ask rczash & a few others.

The RT6 System looks like this

If it's this one there is a guide to updating here

Thanks for the reply.
It's definitely the first one.
It's odd, everything seems to work bar the nav maps, I'll have a poke about here :D

Cheers.

Thank you for the offer. I very much do hope a quick fiddle with some updates and she'll be ok.
The nav was one of the reasons I went for this one. My last two cars have had it, and it is pretty handy.

sounds to me like a broken nav update. restart the update process and don't be fooled by the e13 error message while in the process. just repeat the update process and all be fine.

Thank you for all the input folks.
With this being new to me, does my unit (ng4) have a hard drive (like my 407 rt5 did and the 508 RT6) or are the maps on some other kind of media? Ive read some are on memory cards and discs?

Probably a silly question!

you can feed the updates to the system via DVD, SD card or USB memory stick. USB stick is the fastest way to upload.

EDIT: Do upgrade the SW to version 42c as soon as possible. It is the most stable version.

Again, thanks for all the help :)
Another daft question (possibly) I updated my 508 maps and firmware (I call it the RT6, not sure if it has another name!) it then needed an updated calibration file. For some reason updating the firmware past a certain point can make the parking sensors go really quiet.. I had this, plus it decided to forget it had the rotary control and buttons down near the gear lever!
Updating the "calibration" file sorted this.

Is this the case with the NG4 system?

I have the NG4.
There are no issues with it interfering with other functions of the car.
Your issue sounds like a broken map update.
The cracked maps that you can find online have the nasty habit that the first update fails with error 0x26 but if you repeat the update, it will complete fine and then work without problems.
For latest maps you need firmware N42c which can also be found online, e.g. on http://gpsunderground.com/forum/car-navi-system/car-gps-systems/peugeot-citroen/.

I've got the 42c firmware, just struggling to get a copy of some maps that finish downloading!
Tried 2 so far. One was broken according 7zip, and one stuck downloading at 88%..
Not even fussed if they're recent, even older maps would do. To see if this sorts my problem.
Unless the new FM would bork older maps?

Hmm. So it won't read cds or eject CDs. Or read from the USB.

As mentioned before, broken update. Best update firmware, if needed and then the map. USB, as it's faster or if using the DVD, would use a third of your tank, as I did for the first time.

It won't read CD/DVD or from the USB. I tried it earlier.
I reckon it might mean a trip to the idiots.
Also, according to the manual I have fuse 8 (20 amp) is the audio equipment.
Which still works with the fuse pulled out..

So wth the RT6 a long press on the eject button resets the system. (Keep pressed until the cd comes out & then goes back in). You could try a system reset to see if you can at least get it to read USB, then do the FW update.

You could also try a BSI reset, but I doubt if that would affect the SW on the head unit.
