Battery mangement unit

Hi everyone,
A main dealer diagnosed that i need to replace the battery management unit at a cost of approx £600 !! The car drives ok and this warning has been coming on intermittently for about a year. Can this be fitted as a DIY job ??

Yes it's a easy fix and if you look back on some of the posts you can see that you can buy one for well less than a hundred pounds

It seems they are compatible with other models also i.e 3008 508 308 ,is that the one ?
