Some info for others who get this error.
The error came up and the lh xenon was off. Since globes cost $100-$300 (AT AUTO shop, $40 odd on fleabay) I wanted to diagnose the prob. Xenonfitted cars come with car height sensors on the suspension . Or faulty ballast (the HV converter I think). Or light adjust motor.
After thinking for a while and deciding not to buy the cheapest ones, I just swapped the lh and rh globes. The globe was dead. I replaced both as the other would have died soon. Fiddly to take out but easy enough. Make sure to disconnect the main assembly connector to ensure there's no HV. They use 30kv striking voltage.
Easy fix in the end. I'm sure a dealer would have charged me twice as much.
Good luck.
As for the cryptic error, maybe designed to force you to a dealer.
