Any plans on customizing your RCZ any further?

The RCZ parking outside your house is probably pretty unique allready, thanks to all the different options to choose from, but is anybody of you planning to customize the car any further?

I'm asking because ... well ... I AM

Originally, I ordered chrome-shadow holms for my perla-nera-black RCZ, but as they are not available, I switched to the regular ones - which is making me a bit sad to be honest. But hey - that fact gave birth to my "Dark-Carbon-RCZ" plans, which include the following modifications:

  • - Put 3D-Carbon-foil/film/sheeting (sorry - as you've probably allready guessed from my nick, I'm Austrian, so I'm lacking some vocabulary ... hope youre still getting what I'm trying to say ;) ) on the holms, the grill, the splitters (see accessories), parts of the mirrors (not on top as peugeot does, but at the joint - see aston martin DBS for instance) and the automatic spoiler.

    - Besides that, I'll get my brake callipers painted in a dark red,

    - get black direction indicators

    - try to find an exhaust-system with tailpipes on both sides of the car and

    - am probably doing some slight engine tuning (I've ordered the THP156, because the THP200 costs €4.000,- more, which IMO isn't worth it)

How about you? :)

Blimey, you've got some plans there for yours. Have you actually got your RCZ yet?

The only modification I plan, is to get my cloth seats re-trimmed in leather. I've ordered the 156 Sport as I didn't feel the extra cost for the GT warranted what other "extras" that you got and I couldn't just order leather seats on their own. I've been recommended a company that does this, which is quite local to me and I've also seen examples of the work they have done which is fantastic. They have a choice of leathers, the majority of which are superior to those actually used by the car manufacturers themselves. I haven't quite decided on the the colour of leather yet, I'm maybe thinking red or contrasting red and black. You can also specify contrasting stitching too - so many choices as well as having any sort of emblem on the seat that you choose. I'm thinking RCZ emblem instead of the Peugeot emblem that is on the standard cars.

Welcome to the form too :)

Very tempted to get a remote start fitted. I had an astra coupe with heated leather about 8 years ago along with a clifford avantgarde 4 alarm - couldn't beat starting the engine from inside the house 10 mins before venturing out on a winters morning :)

Too right it was! Great fun scaring people at petrol stations or outside the shops

Only reason I ditched it is £300 bill to move the system between two cars (day to rip it out of the old one and 2 days to install in the new one), and they made a pigs ear fitting it to the astra. Whoever bought that car got a real bonus!

AVOID THESE !!

I bought them with this exact idea in mind, they are NOT RCZ Specific
they are simply 2 strips of LEDS with wires, no sticky tape or fixing instructions supplied, quite simply, if you wanna ruin your RCZ get these... Mine are in the bin.

I recently took ownership of my RCZ and would really like the quad tailpipe fitted, but it seems that Peugeot do not do this any more

Is there any garages that do Peugeot mods around Kent / London?

I'm looking to do the same as you and also live in Kent so am looking in the South East area. If you got to newbies and one of the topics at the top is 'Quad Exhaust' - you can get it done through RCZ Performance as suggested here but will need to travel to Banbury.

Hope this helps.

Buy the zunsport exhaust from rcz performance and then speak to KDS Keltec, who are in Gillingham, who will fit it for you. They've worked on some very expensive motors and will do a top notch job too  They do not only do mechanical work either, so you can always get a full detail there too, I hear Kelly is one of the best around

Honestly folks, you won't regret fitting the quads. It's a fantastic finishing touch for the car and really balances out the rear of the car. I just need to fight my urge to replace the Zunsport exhausts with a performance exhaust. Maybe I will when the warranty runs out (although I think I may extend it privately through someone else for piece of mind).

Great recommendation from Chuzz. It's always good to get these kind of recommendations rather than have to take a punt on someone.

Is fitting a sexy girl to the passenger seat considered 'customizing'?

Future Modifications to our RCZ, absolutely !!!

In the queue currently:

- upgrade front brakes
- install UR Braces
- Forge Motorsport intercooler, hoses, hard pipes, CAI, and blow-off valve (development scheduled soon with them)

To do later:

- wheels
- upgrade rear brakes
- fixed rear wing

Anything we do will be sold on our site too !!!

Actually I think it's considered 'kidnapping' and likely to result in jail time if you "fit" her to the seat.:lol:

I did see word of you getting Brembo Brakes organised for the RCZ (well the 200s anyway). They look great...they should do at that price! However, I've always found one of the RCZ's real strengths to be the stopping power of the brakes. Are you recommending upgrading them if you're upping the power output? :eusa-think:

I will be installing a different brake system, one I have had for a bit now but never installed it (weather and time has not permitted it). Also the kit I am going with will also have a rear system (although it is more for looks than functionality other than parking brake). The system incorporates 6-pistons as well which I prefer. But of course Brembo has a following and those that want them will pay for them and we will add them to our site over the weekend. Yes the factory brakes are good, but having 25% more bhp and pushing my car hard, I want an even better feel for the brakes so that my comfort zone with them is as great as when I went with the Michelin Pilot SS tyres.

Another item we are going to do that I forgot to list and that is a black grill mesh from Zunsport, I think that would make my car even meaner looking

Aah...well that makes sense then. Definitely in your case with all that extra power I think that if I have to change my Contis then I'd be tempted by these Michelins that you have nothing but praise for. I would love to have a car powerful enough to demand Brembos and they look awesome but I'd rather like them as stock!

As for the mesh grille...do it! I'd never want to be without mine now that it's on. It gives the car a far more menacing and purposeful look that would look the business on your weapon. I may be in touch in the future regarding some of the Ruffer body kit. However, for now I have to reign things in a little.
