Hi guy's,

Looking for some advice regarding wheel spacers, see a few guy's over on a some of the facebook pages fitting 15, 20 and even 30mm spacers.

My own wheels are 235 / 40 / 19"

My questions is, would it be safe to fit 30mm wheel spacers with this tyre and alloy setup? planning on buying decent forged wheels spacers, just trying to figure out if I will get any rubbing or anything in the wheel arches.

Thanks,
Anton

You have same setup as mine I’m currently having lowering springs fitted all round 25mm drop
And I’m looking at 15mm spacers front and 20mm rear.....any of you guys running the same?

Change shocks with lowering springs, why 25 mm go with 20 mm if you must change springs, or buy R springs... I have rear 20, front 12 mm spacers
Hi
With them spacers do you have any fouling of the wheel arches?

As far as I get it ( sorry for using this thread, but didn't wanted to open a new one ) - i can safely put 20mm spacers on all 4 wheels ( car is not lowered and running on 18" and 19" stock wheels summer and winter ) - right?

I would go 20mm rear 15mm front some owners have issues with front tyres rubbing on liners with big spacers

By the way, Neil, I presume ( judging by the nickname ) - saw some photos of your ride, and as I'm planning to do something similar with the stripes on the hood, trunk and bumpers - can you give me some advise of how did you remove / put back on the badge on the trunk? I know I can take it out using dental cord and then clean up before putting the vinyl, but did you bought a new badge to put on the vinyl or you used your old one ( and if so - how did you fixed it )?

Thanks in advance :)

Might as well jump in here, not opening the new topic.

Does anyone maybe have any CAD or technical drawings for wheel spacers? I tried looking online but could not find any.

I have a neighbour that does this kind of metalwork and he can do it for me for fraction of the price and I'll at least know that the quality of the metal is top-notch.

I’m about to fit these to mine came in @£45 eBay inc extended bolts
Spacers are probably cheap enough to make but extended bolts ramp the price up....might be cheaper option to buy the kit same as I done plus the seating on Rcz bolts are not the usual radius or cone type fitting...

Just had pi lowered springs fitted to the car so once I get the spacers on I’ll upload the photos

Well here's my feedback from 20mm spacers in all 4 wheels. All looks fine with the movement of the wheel, no issues there, no rubbing etc. Here's 2 photos before, and two after:

We could start another Mammoth post debate (similar to the what Oils is best saga?) Maybe someone can prove me wrong when I say wheel spacers were primarily developed for ultra fast wheel changes on race track cars so if I was going to buy a set I would research first to find the Pros & Cons so to the Pros-Yes they give the car a enhanced wider wheel base appearance for basically aesthetical purposes only & will not alter the handling performance - The Cons -well if fitted for long periods its appears from the data at hand that they can alter the geometry of the car they have also been known to affect the handling & stability & the overall balance so is it worth the money when say 10.000+ Klms further down the road your finding all sorts issues with suspension parts ie track rods/link rods/ steering arms & the extra load on wheel bearings etc

Got the car back from the garage after been lowered it’s been dropped with Pi -25mm Springs (I measured before and after and fair to say its dropped 1” all round).....Ride I can only describe as excellent with road holding greatly improved with no bottoming out
While the car was in with Most of labour taken care of I also had changed ball joints track rod ends and drop links so all feels nice and tight....I got the spacers here waiting to go on 15mm and 20mm but debating whether to fit or not....

And yet again another fault code throwing up 0007 from what I read it’s fuel valve any you guys come across that?

Photos added after been lowered......yes I know it’s stinking and needs a clean but I work down the local steel works and the other car is off the road....I apologise ;-)
