Found a custom rim widening facility that took my original rims from 8.5 to 10.5, now ive fitted 285 tires, looks like some Porsche from behind, but i want to go bigger to 295, there is still plenty room an after driving yesterday i saw there where no issues whatsoever, nor did it affect my car's performance, so looking forward to getting wider, and next year i want them to make the rear rims to be 20inch rather than 19 so it has the complete latest Porsche look. besides the rear rim still looks tiny as it is after the alteration

the cost of custom work was $653,06 with repaint and correction of any scratches, looks like new. But i think the 30 profile doesn't work well on the car, i think 35 would be best for anyone interested in such an option, the gap between the wheel and arch is just too big for me and i have my car on lowered original RCZ R springs, but still looks too high, so for the 295 ill get the 295/35 rather for now, will go back to 30s when the guys custom make th rim to 20inch. they do a splendid job, looks original and everything, you cant even spot where they did additions to widen them

That’s some awesome work there, I’m surprised your not getting any running of the wheel arch liners on full lock as there’s not a lot of clearance on stock.
One question though wouldn’t it have been cheaper and maybe easier going for bigger aftermarket alloys?

I also initially thought that, but once we started measuring we realised thats not the case, there's actually plenty room. I looked at aftermarket wheels but the for the size of the rcz everywhere i went they kept telling me the same thing, that size is rare so they dont stock it since it doesn't sell,so only other options i had was import and that was all over $1200,besides i want the car to still maintain a factory look but just a bit more aggressive. Thats my aim with all the mods i want to do on it

They said i can go max 305,but cant get a higher profile if i do that,so ill have to stick to the 30 height, which for me makes the gap between the wheel arch and tire a bit bigger than am comfortable with,so i think I'll go 295/35 rather

Went for balancing today, relised, even though there is still enough space for a wider tire, on the petrol tank side the pipe takes a lot of room so its barely fitting with the 285 tire, so getting a wider one wont clear the pipe, it'll definitely rub it, eish sucks. Guess am stuck with 285 now -_-
