    Remapping an RCZ 200?

I had a 200 from 2011-2014 (traded in for an R). I had it remapped, can’t say I noticed any difference whatsoever.

    Change Xenons for driving abroad.

Don’t think you can do anything mechanically. It’s the stick on deflectors for you, I think.

I’m with the other guys. The platinum warranty is money well spent and I reckon I’ve already had my 10 years worth out of it!

Engine Fault. P1338 code. Timing Chain?

Heard this quite a few times now. Don’t be so quick to condemn your timing chain because it’s ‘a well known fault’. There are other things, e.g. fuel pumps. I would see if other codes emerge in the next couple of weeks. If you have a logging code reader/dongle you can capture data while...

Engine Fault. P1338 code. Timing Chain?

That sounds exactly like fuel delivery issues, not timing chain. It happens under load: more fuel required, but it couldn’t be delivered, due to low pressure. Mpg readings showed blank: no detectable fuel flow, due to low fuel pressure (I’d forgotten, mine did this too when my pump failed)...

Engine Fault. P1338 code. Timing Chain?

These engines are known to be a bit rattly at idle.

Engine Fault. P1338 code. Timing Chain?

Not sure your code has ever been associated with a timing chain issue. They’re normally more like a reported phasing issue or similar and applies to the whole bank, not just a single cylinder. In my mind, it sounds more like ignition (coil or carbon build up) or high pressure fuel pump. I know...

    RCZ-R. Very nice . . .

Mick - good to here from you! There is a story, but I won’t bore here. Being a Boy Scout in a previous life, I like to be prepared, so it was a question that came into my head, the answer for which might save me some grief and swearing one day. Cheers.

    Air Hose Removal Advice Please

For more info., it’s a R version and I can’t quite see the best access to undo the clip that secures the air hose to what I guess is the inlet manifold. It’s a bit buried between the bulkhead and engine, so I wondered what the best way to reach the clip fixing was?

    Air Hose Removal Advice Please

Any one know the best route to access the clip that secures the air hose from the air box to the intercooler - the one that runs over the top of the engine at the left hand side (viewed from front)? Is it from underneath or through the wheel arch?

    Carbon fibre wing mirror covers.

The Peugeot wing mirror caps went out of stock many moons ago. None to be found nowadays (in practice). Wrap or stick on cap are the only realistic options now.

Sounds like an OBD code read would be a good idea.

    Peugeot rcz 156

Depends what the issue is. It may be as simple as a disconnected sensor. Is the engine management light on? Are there any warning messages from the dash?

    Fuel pump/fuel sensor fault

You really need a logging OBD tool. Clear the codes, go for a drive while logging the data, Hope the issue reoccurs, analyse the logged data. Fuel rail pressure is logged, so you can graph it. This is how I found mine. If you’ve seen P0087, that’s usually conclusive the pump has an issue...
