Sweet. I initially wanted to go with Celtic, but they passed me on to no fewer than 3 garages who all just ignored me lol.
Ended up taking my RCZ to a BMW/Mini specialist for my stage 1 as although they didn't offer as much hp as Celtic, their map delivered more torque.
The remap on the 200...
I posted these on the FB group, but thought I'd share on the forum too for folk that aren't on there.
Took advantage of the beautiful Scottish weather (I KNOW) to get my DSLR out and snap some shots of my RCZ in Balbirnie Park, Fife.
Update: I bottled it and took them to a pro. Nonetheless, no regrets with the end product.
Wheels done in glitter bronze and the calipers in red - really makes the car pop imo.
Appreciate it's maybe not for everyone, but I'm chuffed to bits.
I'm up in Edinburgh, so I actually used a BMW/Mini specialist called East Coast Motor group in Bonnyrigg.
I had originally gone through Celtic Tuning, but they put me on to 3 garages to do the job and every single one ignored my emails.
Thanks guys, would those rubber bits help to reduce the likelihood of the jack joints failing/getting damaged? Like I said, I've seen some horror stories and I really don't want to become one of them haha
Hi guys, I need to jack up my RCZ so I can get all 4 wheels off, albeit one at a time - I'm fixing some rust that's developing on the wheel hubs.
Thing is, I've read some horror stories about the jacking points on the RCZ and how they're basically not fit for purpose, so I was wondering if...
Sorry to drag up a dead thread, but can anyone help me to understand how to unplug the f**king sensor? 😂
I'm trying to replace mine and I can't seem to get past the weird little metal clasp on it. Do I need a tool? I don't want to go yanking on something I shouldn't and damaging it (stop...
Mine still look a damn site better than the video I posted tbf. It's mainly just kerb rash scrapes and weird faded patches on the finish, no large chunks and definitely no warping off the wheel itself.
Hi guys, my alloys have a bit of kerbing around the outside (done by the previous owner might I add) and annoyingly, have some odd discoloured patches here and there that don't go away, even when cleaned.
I found a video online that actually makes repairing and spraying them yourself look...
Welcome aboard, hope the car brings you as much joy as it has to me this past year!
I'd love to get along to a car meet, but they're all so far away from me in Scotland :(
I've been tempted a couple of times to pick up an MR2 as a fun runaround alternative to my RCZ - loved the MR2 as a kid and still seriously wanted one up until about ten years ago when I felt they were getting a little long in the tooth.
I've heard that the early 90s MK2s were pretty scary to...
TTs are still bloody nice cars tbh, I was after one last year when I was pleasantly surprised to discover an RCZ 200 that was in my price range.
If you've still the RCZ R then you've still got your head-turning beauty of a car. TTs may be ten a penny these days, but they're still pretty ace.
I believe if you're replacing the sensor altogether, the coolant reservoir does need drained entirely. My stupid sensor likes to pop up every now and then to tell me to top my coolant up, but the levels are absolutely fine so I'm just ignoring it for now.
No idea on the cost of that being done...
