So after owning 3 RCZs over a period of 7 years I'm finally moving onto something else. Needless to say if they still made them I would be buying a new one.
I need something that will munch the motorway miles I'm doing these days on my 400 mile round trip to the office .
The RCz has performed...
So I'm a little bit pissed off.
Car went in for its 36k mile service ( number 7 in the book) and an MOT (car is a 2015)
The garage failed it for having lights too high ( pretty sure they are adjustable and just had to turn the knob) and they had to change one of the windscreen wipers , both...
Did I dream this or did one of our northern contingent mention a meet up over the summer in Weston Super Mare
If so I'm sure some of the Southern members would try to meet .
So the good news for today is that the new work car policy which I thought was going to force me to sell my pristine RCZ has today been introduced and because the emissions are under 150g/km I can keep it until the phased introduction of max 6 years old which means another 18 months before I...
So I'm hoping some clever person will tell me what this noise is. It doesn't happen often and mainly first thing in the morning when the car has been stood overnight, just as the car pulls away from stationary.
On the clip the noise happens at about 4 seconds , the car has now been to 3...
So my employer has just decided that anyone claiming car allowance should be driving nothing more than 6 years old.
A new rule without any employee consultation but there you go.
So my RCZ is 6 years old in March and it looks like I'm very reluctantly going to have to change it.
One of the early...
So 2020 draws to a close and most people will reflect its been a pretty terrible year.
We've lost some really great people to this pandemic and even those who have been lucky enough not to catch it have suffered major disruption to their lives
Lets hope that next year is better
Keep safe and...
Just wondered if my first RCZ was now owned by anyone in the forum
I had it from new for the first 4 years and 60k miles
The car is still motd and must be approaching 100k miles by now.
So had a trip to the Peugeot dealer this morning to replace my wife's 2017 3008 GT.
She was looking for something smaller but wanted something with a bit of grunt having previously owned a 205 gti, 206gti, and a 206 gti 180.
So we test drove a 208 GT line auto which I thought would be...
Is it me or are prices for this modern classic beginning to go up
I paid £8700 for my 2015 29k mile GT back in early May and its now done just under 34k and I reckon I would get pretty much what I paid for it privately.
Ok its unmarked with 6 services and new timing chain which helps.
Not...
So I've noticed some subtle changes since I bought my first RCZ in 2011 and these have happened quite recent!y
Firstly most RCZs I see on the roads these days are driven by blokes
Secondly drivers tend to acknowledge each other, a discreet nod or wave of the hand or thumbs up, which I haven't...
So having worked from home in my new role for the last few weeks I needed to go to the office this week, about 240 miles each way.
Car never missed a beat there or back and past hundreds of mundane hatchbacks and saloons on the trip making me appreciate the RCZ even more than normal.
Real shame...
So the cars been off the road now for well over a week and I'm definitely getting withdrawal symptoms. The wife's 3008GT is a nice car (and worth 3 times as much) but not really a substitute.
It's going into the garage Thursday so hopefully will have it back for the weekend.
can't come soon enough .
Probably been discussed before over the years but why didn't peugeot ever make the RCZ in a convertible
I reckon it would have sold a lot more and the Z might have lasted longer than 5 years .
Got a whining noise only lasts a second or two and only from stationary never between gears or while the car is moving. Engine gearbox and clutch all work fine.
Sounds a bit like a slipping fanbelt but not as loud and doesn't happen all the time.
Any ideas anyone?
Due to reorganisation at work I'm now going to be based at an office in the north. A 500 mile round trip once a week plus other office visits which will mean an annual mileage of about 35000 just going to work. Looks like we will be using the wife's 3008 at the weekends. I've currently got a...
