Soooo, I've been doing a lot of thinking over the coming months and sold my RCZ this week. Was be sad to see her go, but I've decided to sell the Elise also and get an Evora which can hopefully do the duties of both cars (plus carry our soon to arrive baby occasionally which the Elise couldn't)...
I did try painting my wheels bronze a while ago, but didn't like the final result. Ended up peeling it off and sticking with gloss black.
Best of luck with your decision.
Mine just touches with 245/35/20s on the front, which have a larger rolling diameter than stock. They don't seem to touch at all when driving hard, just on slow carpark turns and not all of the time. Def hasn't worn anything away.
Weird you have this problem with stock setup. I would have...
Thanks heaps mate. It should have some letters stamped onto the back of the spokes.
It'd be something like '19x9' and should have another stamp with 'ET27' etc which would be the offset. Other stamps will likely include place of manufacture, maximum weight etc.
Thanks mate. Yeah, I’ve searched everywhere online but there is nothing to confirm. That link says 8-9 which doesn’t help. One other site said 20x9 for the R, but they def don’t have 20s as far as I’m aware. Unfortunately just can’t find anything definitive.
I was hoping one of the R owners...

- Are the RCZ-R wheels 19x9 as opposed to the 19x8.5 that my...
Congrats on the build mate. Look forward to seeing the final product! I thought the 308 GTI / RCZ-R engine already had forged pistons etc (below from the 308 GTi release):
Turbocharged engine running 2.5 bar (or more than 36 psi) of boost pressure, that also featured forged aluminium pistons...
Can get sat Nav units that operate much better than the factory system and it's possible to retain parking sensors and factory stalk controls with an aftermarket unit also.
I actually like the shiny metallic plastic, but it would be easy to spray / wrap to a different finish if desired.
I bought the Kenwood double din locally, but the dash surround online. Was pretty cheap from memory.
Gave her a really good detail today. Clay, paint restore (different compounds with an electric buffer), polish and wax. Looks the best she has since I bought her.
The pics definitely don’t demonstrate the depth of the shine, but very happy.
