yes it does; odd how the pricing fluctuates quickly for these; I would want that sort of money+ for mine...but it does seems a lot of buyers don't or can't buy privately
are you happy that engine failure has been diagnosed correctly?
there have been posts on here of owner's sourcing new/recon engines from Peugeot UK, the one I remember was for the 270 THP engine and Peugeot had them in stock; it was an expensive undertaking as the Main Dealer did all the work...
20 plate diesel so not an RCZ then?
More modern diesel engines can use thinner oil as far as I am aware not sure if this is the case for the diesel engine in the RCZ I dont have a diesel RCZ
Most confusion it seems is ignorance possibly from said mechanic, as said the difference is negligible as shown in the graph above.....as long as the oil conforms to given specs, determime what you want to pay then keep tabs on the level (do not trust the cars systems to check) and change it...
if you look at the chart above according to Peugeot there is absolutely nothing in it from a 0w30 to a 5w30 if switching a 5w40 would be the way to go for possibly better protection (esp turbocharged) at higher temps (being 40) in Summer..more important for me reading about all this is the added...
Got mine out again today as it was a nice afternoon....had a great drive. Washed her then discovered how good Turtle Wax Graphene Flex wax on the red is...wow.
I think you're wise....a decent remap usually with a dyno will achieve a decent performance gain and reliability...a flashed generic remap from an untested source could be disastrous especially on the THP...there are a few horror stories on here with the 156, 200 and 270 all causing issues pre...
Agree, I grabbed 30mins in mine last Saturday when it was actually dry and sunny (an unknown quantity in the UK for the last 7 months!) and enjoyed it amazing that a manufacturer made such a raw drivers car so recently imo; you don't need huge bhp to have fun, in fact I like (and always have) 2...
The oil viscosity/rating can be changed for use in the engine within the parameters given in the graph dependent on the climate/weather of the country the car is in, so generally the hotter the clime the 'thicker' the oil....so a 0w30/5w30 for UK and if in Southern Spain a 10w40 or 15w40. To be...
the DMF can suffer with issues, or at least mine did (others have too), it whined loudly at low speed pulling away @circa 30K miles, usually in reverse.....replaced under Warranty (it drove me mad). If you're diagnosing your in and when in you're looking (imo) at new clutch and DMF so fairly...
