One of the things I've done to our RCZ is change the gear know as it had the rather tired looking standard version: (not my picture) The new one is a 2403 metal one: One of the other options I looked at was a Citroen/DS one as well (2403 GF I believe): It looks a lot better in my opinion.

Don't know about the RCZ but I had a heated front windscreen in a Mondeo a few years ago and it drove me crazy. My eyes didn't know whether to focus on the wires in the windscreen or on the road. It was nice in winter but most of the time it was just annoying.
